About

Hi, I’m Hardel.

I’m Hardel, the photographer and filmmaker behind SnapShotVA, based in Centreville, Virginia. What began as an interest in photography has grown into something I’m genuinely passionate about building. I started SnapShotVA because I wanted a creative outlet outside of my everyday routine—and I realized how much I enjoyed helping people and local businesses see themselves and their work from a new perspective.

Today, I’m working toward building SnapShotVA into a visual media company focused on photography, videography, and content that feels intentional and authentic. Whether I’m documenting a family milestone, creating portraits, or helping a local business showcase its work, my goal is to create visuals that tell a story and feel true to the people behind them.

I don’t believe every session needs to feel overly staged or complicated. I want the experience to feel relaxed, collaborative, and comfortable. I’m still learning, experimenting, and strengthening my portfolio, but I approach every project seriously and use each opportunity to improve my craft.

SnapShotVA is about more than taking a good photo or recording a video. It’s about building something meaningful, connecting with people in my community, and creating work that helps others preserve a memory, share their story, or grow their brand.

FAQ

Straight answers before you book.

What types of projects do you take on?

SnapShotVA works with individuals, families, and local businesses. Projects can include portraits, graduations, family sessions, events, business branding, construction and remodeling projects, social media content, and promotional photography or video. If you have something different in mind, reach out and tell me about it.

Do you offer both photography and video?

Yes. I offer photography, short-form video, and packages that combine both. For business projects, we can plan content around your website, social media, portfolio, or current marketing goals.

What if I’m not comfortable in front of the camera?

That’s completely normal. You don’t need to know how to pose or act naturally on command. I’ll provide direction throughout the session while keeping the experience relaxed, so the final photos or videos still feel like you.

How far do you travel?

Travel is included for locations within 20 miles of Centreville, Virginia. Projects outside that area are welcome, and any additional travel cost will be clearly included in your quote before booking.

How long does delivery take?

Most photo galleries are delivered within 5–7 business days. Events, video projects, and larger commercial galleries may require additional time. Your expected turnaround will be discussed before the project begins.

Will I receive every photo or the RAW files?

Every delivered image is carefully selected and edited for color, lighting, composition, and overall polish. Unedited photos, RAW files, and unused video footage are not normally included unless agreed upon before the project.

How are the final files delivered?

Your completed photos and videos will be delivered through a private online gallery or downloadable link. From there, you’ll be able to view and download your final files in high quality.

What happens if the weather or our plans change?

If weather or an unexpected situation affects the project, we’ll work together to find another available date. Please provide as much notice as possible for non-weather-related changes.

How do I book a project?

Start by sending an inquiry with the type of project, preferred location, and possible dates. I’ll follow up to discuss your goals, confirm availability, and provide a clear quote before anything is booked.
